The desire to maintain my own health and well-being is what led me to study massage therapy and it is a great feeling to be a part of that process for others.
I received my certification in Traditional Japanese Massage in San Francisco in 1982 and practiced there before moving back to San Diego. A long hiatus due to a hand injury motivated me to pursue more innovative methods of bodywork. My studies are spread out at various schools and seminars including direct training and certification from the founders of Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy® (Ruthie Hardy) and Barefoot Compressive Deep Tissue (John Harris and Fred Kenyon). I earned my Holistic Health Practitioner’s Certification in 2005 and made these two therapies my focus. I am currently associated with the Body Therapy Arts holistic group in Encinitas.
